Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and estimating costs for our heavy civil construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of construction processes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
o Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
o Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that milestones are met on time.
o Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
o Monitor project progress, budget, and quality control.
o Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Estimating:
o Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects involving excavation, grading, roadway paving, site concrete, and underground utilities.
o Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
o Use HCSS (Heavy bid) software to develop and manage cost estimates.
o Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids.
o Present estimates and reports to management and clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and estimating within the heavy civil construction industry.
Proficiency in using HCSS (Heavy bid) software is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
