We are seeking a Medical Doctor (MD) with licensure in good standing in Nevada to serve as Medical Director for a small, new primary care clinic in the Las Vegas area. This is a supervisory-only, low-commitment role not requiring any on-site presence or direct care responsibilities. The position would be suitable for a physician engaged in other full-time practice who possesses the bandwidth to assist in our goal of expanding primary care options in southern Nevada.
The Medical Director’s primary duty will be to provide supervision as required by Nevada statutes of one midlevel provider engaged in primary care. Eventual supervision of other midlevel providers will be desirable as the clinic grows but is not a specific requirement now.
Care will occur based on protocols established and refined in multiple prior, similar care ventures. The Medical Director will need to be available for clinical questions during business hours, conduct periodic chart reviews and complete documentation needed to altogether support insurance billing and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
MD (not DO) licensure in good standing in Nevada
Board certification or substantial experience in Family Medicine; other primary care certification such as Internal Medicine may be suitable if the MD experience/comfort level are consistent with supervising the general care of patients 2 years of age and older
Reliable, communicative and easy to work with
Possess current medical malpractice insurance that will cover the supervisory role (the midlevel provider will have a dedicated malpractice policy)
Compensation will occur on a contractual, revenue-sharing basis (i.e., based on the clinic’s gross revenue before clinic expenses). The Medical Director will have no obligations with respect to general business operations of the clinic.
