Job Overview:
We are a private and established dental office seeking a dedicated and experienced dental assistant to join our family oriented dental practice. We are looking for a patient-oriented friendly dental assistant who LOVES their job. Our patients are like family and many of them have been going to this office for over 20 years.
Responsibilities:
Chairside Assistance:
Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, from routine cleanings to complex treatments, including implant placements.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, equipment and treatment rooms.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols.
Fabricate temporary crowns and/or bridges including any other lab work.
Patient Care:
Greet and prepare patients for treatment, addressing any concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
Review medical/dental history and consent forms.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Take digital x-rays and scans as needed.
Administrative Tasks:
Schedule appointments and provide support to the front office as needed.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited dental assisting program a plus.
Current CPR certification.
Experience:
A minimum of two years in dental assisting
Familiarity with Dentrix dental software, digital X-ray systems and Itero.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
