Mama Maxie's Pizzeria in Henderson is looking for an experienced Pizza Cook.
As a pizza cook, your primary responsibility is to prepare and bake high-quality pizzas, including preparing dough, sauces, and toppings, while ensuring customer satisfaction and adhering to food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Pizza Preparation
Prepare and store pizza dough.
Make fresh pizza sauces.
Prepare toppings like meats, vegetables, and cheeses.
Assemble and bake pizzas according to recipes and customer preferences.
Ensure pizzas are cooked to the correct temperature and have a consistent quality.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
Communicate with supervisors when stock is running low.
Food Safety and Hygiene:
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including public areas.
Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
Ensure all food handling practices are in accordance with regulations.
Customer Service:
Assist customers with questions about menu items and specials.
Ensure a positive dining experience for customers.
Other Duties:
Potentially prepare appetizers and sides, depending on the restaurant.
May be required to assist with other kitchen tasks as needed.
Train new pizza cooks in preparation processes.
Experience:
Previous experience as a pizza cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in preparing and baking pizza dough.
Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment.
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good time-management skills.
Teamwork and communication skills.
