Winnie & Ethel's Downtown Diner in Las Vegas, NV seeks an experienced host to join our team 3 - 5 shifts weekly from 7:45 - 2 pm daily (schedule will include weekday and weekend shifts). We are located in downtown Las Vegas at the Huntridge Shopping Center, 1130 E Charleston Blvd 140. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, hard-working, dependable and fun. The starting pay for this position is $12/hr + tip share.

HOST'S MISSION:
As a HOST, your mission is create a fantastic first-impression for our guests (whether in-person or on the phone), by quickly, efficiently, and courteously handling reservations, walk-ins, and waitlist guests throughout each service.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greeting and seating guests
- Managing reservations and waiting lists to ensure accurate and prompt seating
- Assigning tables and maintaining rotation for servers
- Answering phone calls and guest inquiries
- Engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction and address concerns
- Informing guests of specials and helpful information while waiting
- Communicating directly with guests and relaying critical information to servers, floor supervisors to other FOH staff
- Keeping the dining area organized (assisting with resetting tables as needed)
- Maintaining restroom cleanliness checks during downtime
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement
- Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant
- Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stand and walk for 4 - 6 hours with minimal breaks
Regularly lift up to 20 lbs
Must be physically able to bend, kneel, and pick up debris from the floor and wipe tables and dining room furniture
QUALIFICATIONS
18+ years old with a high school degree
Minimum 1 year experience as a Host in a reputable, high-volume, full-service restaurant; +1 year preferred.
Minimum 6 months' experience using OpenTable reservation and waitlist system on an iPad
Ability to work efficiently in a self-directed environment fulfilling responsibilities with minimal oversight or direction
Must have a current SNHD Food Handler card.
Must be able to accept direct deposit payment payment.
Legal right to work in the United States and fluent English written and verbal skills required.
