Staff Accountant - Chicagoland

MUST BE BASED IN CHICAGO AREA.We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team working remotely based in Chicagoland. Reporting to the Controller, in this role, you will play a key part in ensuring financial accuracy and supporting the organization’s financial operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, has strong analytical skills, and a high attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct weekly review and categorization of bank, credit card transactions, and vendor bills. Communicate with staff to ensure proper GL account and department assignments.Record daily deposit batches from merchant services, performing necessary research and resolving discrepancies in collaboration with the A/R team.Prepare monthly reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts.Reconcile accounting data with MX subsidiary transactions on a monthly basis.Perform monthly reconciliation of Salesforce Closed-Won Sales with new billings in MedTrainer’s ERP software.Review monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and perform variance analyses.Record bi-weekly payroll accrual journal entries and disbursements for U.S. and Mexico teams.Assist the Controller with month-end close processes and corporate compliance tasks, including federal, state, and local tax filings.Support corporate and operational projects as needed.
