Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Manager to assist with a critical project. The role involves bringing stability and efficiency, with the chance to rebuild processes and systems, while supporting crucial business operations. The Payroll Manager will be working independently and must have a proven track record of working with ambiguity, hands on payroll processing through UKG, and play a critical role through an Audit & Benefits Administration. The ideal candidate must be able to work onsite 5 days a week. Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations via full-cycle payroll processing through UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group). Taking lead in organizing and reconstructing payroll documents, files, and records after departmental disruptions. Formulating and putting into action Standard Operating Procedures for payroll and HR processes. Assisting with recertifications and providing support and documentation for an ongoing state audit. Working efficiently with minimal guidance, identifying and resolving workflow gaps in an unstructured environment. Collaborating with teams to establish structured reporting processes and enhance the transparency of the department. Managing and processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Maintaining accurate customer credit records and monitoring customer accounts. Working with the Senior Leadership team in providing support as they go through an audit. Investigate request and obtain necessary supporting documentation, which may require working with different departments & managers. Requirements Minimum of 5 years' experience in a payroll supervisory or managerial role Prior Project / Consulting experience in a Payroll setting Proficiency in 401k / Benefits Administration Hands-on experience in running bi-Monthly Payroll Comprehensive knowledge of Full Cycle Payroll Ability to manage Payroll for 101 - 500 Employees Proficient in Year-end Payroll procedures Proficiency in using UKG payroll softwareRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
