Paralegal

Description A busy insurance defense firm is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal for a six (6) month contract engagement. The ideal litigation paralegal will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing discovery, preparing legal documents, general file management and closing out litigation files. Responsibilities: Draft pleadings and discovery without templates, utilizing our in-house case management database for reference Request and summarize medical records for case preparation Prepare for trials by creating binders, notebooks, exhibit lists, and witness lists Operate tech tools such as iManage, MS Office, and Adobe in daily tasks Handle insurance defense litigation tasks Manage case-related calendar events Handle claim administration and complaint handling Prepare discovery requests and responses Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks Perform billing functions related to the cases.For immediate consideration, interested Paralegals should send their resumes to didi.moore[@]roberthalf[.]com. This role will start immediately!Requirements Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, and Case Management Software is required Familiarity with LexisNexis and other legal research platforms is essential Experience with Management System and Calendar Management is a must Ability to handle Billing Functions and Complaint Handling efficiently Knowledge of Discovery Requests and Discovery Responses is necessary Prior experience in Insurance Defense Litigation and Medical Records management is desirable Proven skills in Trial Preparation and Briefing are expected Capability in Claim Administration is highly valued Previous exposure to working with Discovery in a legal setting is preferred.
