Atrilogy's direct client is seeking a VP, Information Architecture to join their team in Las Vegas, NV on a Direct Hire basis. Essential Job Functions:
- Transform legacy data structures and processes to modern, capable, and secure solutions in a hybrid-poly cloud setup
- Manage data engineering & design best practices to architect solutions, using a deep understanding of various data formats and database design approaches
- Setup best-practice driven data ingestion, develop tooling for increasing scale, accuracy, and automation in data pipeline, to integrate with decisioning, AI/NLP and consuming systems
- Experience in multiple facets of architecture to include Data Lake, Delta Lake and Data Warehouse Systems design and configuration, business functional domains, technology domains, applications, and enterprise architecture.
- Experience in large, complex, heterogeneous environments including legacy platforms preferred.
- Superb interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a close-knit, collaborative, and highly skilled Enterprise Architecture team. Previous experience with modern data architecture environments (SQL, NoSQL with Hybrid & Poly Cloud Deployment etc.).
- Proven ability to embrace new technologies of the future and operationalize these to deliver value (Data Virtualization, Cloud).
- Comprehensive understanding and experience working with data analysis tools and leveraging reporting and data analysis that molds the way user experiences are designed. Demonstrated experience and ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.
- Ensure data security by designing controls and protection strategies
- Enable application performance and modernization by creating appropriate data capabilities to match
- Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders to advance business capabilities
- Improve data quality and governance in partnership with business stakeholders
- Work towards creating "data as a product" offering for internal resources
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, and operations roles, including experience with transformational efforts
- 5 years of experience in information and/or data architecture to include strategy, planning, and delivery oversight; '
- Excellent understanding of key business and technology disciplines including Master Data and metadata integration design and configuration.
- Strong DB skills, with RDBMS (E.g., Oracle, SQL) as well as modern relational and unstructured data sources (like NoSQL), including cloud services (AWS/Azure). Hands on experience using tools is strongly preferred
- Experience in on-prem and hybrid cloud infrastructure, including service and cost optimization
- Experience with production and analytics data, batch and real time / streaming, etc.
- Experience in regulated industries preferred (such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, etc.)
- Familiarity with optimization tools and techniques, including Bayesian modelling and variety of machine learning techniques
- Ability to manage large programs and projects will be essential
- Superior communications ability, from analysts to C-levels, and able to communicate highly technical concepts in layman's terms
- IT staffing and placement (Project Managers, Agile/Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, DBA's, Software Engineers, Mobile Developers (iOS, Android), DevOps, Automation, QA, Systems & Network Engineers, Cyber Security / Information Security Specialists)
- All major ERP & CRM packages (including Oracle, Workday, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Lawson, SAP, Dynamics AX, Salesforce, Microsoft CRM, NetSuite)
- Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Big Data Integration
- Creative (Interactive Project Manager/Art Director, Information Architect, UI/UX Designer, Web/Graphic Design)
