Description Robert Half is searching for an efficient Staff Accountant to join their growing team on a permanent basis. In this position, the Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, various aspects of internal reporting will be under your responsibility. Lend your skills towards developing and implementing accounting policies. Also, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position plays an intricate part in producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Henderson, Nevada area, at a company where effort is rewarded.Your responsibilities
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable Requirements - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Ability to meet deadlines
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Excellent attention to detail
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
Earlier work involving Monthly Bank Reconciliation
Previous experience working with Maintain Vendor Files
Good understanding of Enter Vendor Invoices
General familiarity with payroll
Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Manage Vendor Relationships experience highly valued
Quickbooks Online experience highly preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Demonstrated knowledge of Collections
Foundational knowledge in billing
B2B collections experience highly desired
Experience with benefits coordination
Deep understanding of billing
Comprehension of Process Vendor Invoices
Adeptness in Cash Collections
Background working with bank reconciliations
Practical knowledge of inventory analysis
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
