Registered nurses use this critical thinking process to apply the best available evidence and research data to the processes of diagnosis and treatment. Nurses continually evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and seek to optimize outcomes. Medical/clinical knowledge technical and clinical skills clinical judgment interpersonal skills and communication as indicated in the current Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals are essential components of nursing practice. All registered nurses practice within the scopes and standards of practice set forth by the American Nurses Association.

One (1) year experience as an RN in an acute intermediate care setting; or as an RN in an acute care setting and successful completion of applicable clinical and didactic SRDH specialty training course(s).
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
RN = Registered Nurse license from the State of NV Nursing Board.
CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support – AHA
CT CPRACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support – AHA
NIHSS = NIH Stroke-AM Stroke ASC-Nat'l - Training upon hire/transfer.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year experience as an RN in an acute intermediate care.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Certification in Specialty Area.
