The McEwen Mining Gold Bar Mine is located 35 miles northwest of Eureka, Nevada. The property has seen historic mining from 1988 to 1994 by Atlas Precious Metals Inc. McEwen Mining Inc. acquired the property and began active exploration in 2011. The current mine consists of an Open Pit Mining Operation delivering Ore to a Crushed Heap Leach with solution being processed through an ADR Plant and Refinery.Job DescriptionWork as a member of the Leach Pad Team perform the day-to-day operation of the Leach Pad install conveyance and distribution piping on the heap leach pad; Perform minor equipment repairs as needed to ensure proper solution distribution on the heap leach pad, irrigate leach pad and conduct frequent maintenance to maintain barren solution system and process targets. Moving, bolting, and fusing pipe
Install drip lines.
Assist in lifting spools.
Skills with and ability to use a variety of hand tools.
Inspect and check all systems and equipment daily to ensure effective operation.
Ability to communicate using radio and hand signals.
General clean-up and housekeeping duties as required.
Physical Demands
Ability to work in all weather conditions (hot, cold, windy, dusty)
Climbing ladders/stairs, long periods of standing, walking over uneven ground
Moderate to heavy repetitive lifting to 50 lbs.
Repetitive motion - bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time.
PPE required; respirator must be worn to perform specific tasks.
