That support comes through in our work, as we are united by our mission of creating opportunities for people where they live, learn, and work.The Developer is an entry-level development role responsible for the design, development, and support of technical automation solutions.The Process Automation team aims to provide operational cost savings and business value through the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation processes, scripts, and solutions.As the owners of our internal development process, the team leverages existing infrastructure when possible and explores new applications or technologies when necessary to develop effective solutions.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Designs, develops, and supports technical automation solutions, using a variety of programming languages, tools, and platforms. Continuously improves and refines existing automation solutions, identifying opportunities for optimization and increased efficiency. Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance to team members and stakeholders as needed.COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATION Collaborates with other Engineers, Analysts, and technical resources across teams to build and refine project requirements and develop appropriate solutions. Partners with stakeholders and other clients to evaluate processes and build cross-functional project plans. Presents project updates, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Actively participates in team meeting, project discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Commensurate experience (minimum 4 years) will be considered in lieu of a degree.EXPERIENCE: 1+ years of development experience in a high-level programming language. Python strongly preferred. 1+ years of experience working with both front- and back-end data environments, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and/or data analytics.COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES: Foundational programming and critical thinking skills, with a strong desire to learn and grow in process automation and optimization. Basic understanding of automation tools, platforms, and best practices, as well as the development lifecycle and Kanban methodologies. Familiarity with APIs, databases, and other back-end data environments. Active collaboration with team members during the planning process to define project scope and objectives. Aptitude for designing, building, and deploying automation solutions based on project requirements and timelines. Proficiency in testing solutions, ensuring functionality and data integrity align with business requirements and deadlines. Adherence to review processes for all code written and a continual drive for improvement in the delivery of solutions. Adaptable and flexible within an agile environment, adjusting to shifting circumstances, tasks, and personnel. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to engage diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders. Basic multitasking, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Offering client support throughout program implementation and ensuring thorough problem resolution. Monitoring solution effectiveness, celebrating successes, and refining existing programs as necessary.US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a 6C Federal security clearance are required for this role.
