New Ideas Manufacturing is currently accepting applications for 3D modeling specialists with expertise using Fusion 360. We are looking for CAD modelers who know the program inside and out and can build complex designs quickly and accurately. The role is within the product development team and the hire will work directly with industrial designers, engineers and machinists to create new gear for the photography industry.
Qualifications:
- Expert level skill at 3D modeling
- Mastery of Fusion 360 software
- Ability to iterate quickly and provide multiple concepts for a single design
- Experience with hands-on prototyping such as 3D printing or CNC machined parts
Examples Projects:
- Travel tripod with a focus on stability, weight savings and a small footprint
- Tactical tripod head that locks securely and eliminates excess vibration
- Magnetic filter adapter system for quick-swapping filters

We are a team of driven engineers, designers and machinists creating innovative photography equipment under several brands including Colorado Tripod Company and Breakthrough Photography. Located just outside Denver in Englewood, CO, our design shop is a collaborative, fast-paced environment that includes a variety of CNC mills, lathes and 3D printers for rapid prototyping and small-scale production runs.
