Due to the nature of work, the shift will start by 6:30am M-F. This is an in-office role at the Papillion Service Center. The T&D Integrated Work Planner manages and executes near-term, intermediate and long-term work schedules according to integrated work plans. This role is responsible for sequencing work activities, optimizing and coordinating assignment of resources, progressing work in the schedule, and resolving scheduling conflicts both globally and within their immediate area of responsibility. The T&D Integrated Work Planner is responsible for proactively coordinating with center and engineering management to ensure all work is completed in a timely, and effective manner.
Coordinates with Center Managers and Field Supervisors to plan, execute, and manage a detailed design and construction resource plan and schedule for all T&D related activities.
Coordinates the work management process and resolves conflicts that occur between scheduled and non-scheduled work and available resources.
Sequences work assignments according to constructability.
Reviews work packets to ensure the necessary pre-construction activities are complete and that construction activities can proceed as planned.
Analyzes data from iCIS, Primavera Project Planner (P6), Microsoft Project and other work- or performance-related systems in order to: evaluate the organization's ability to complete work versus the projected work load; evaluate the current status of gaps and overloads of all work at each construction department; evaluate the appropriateness of focused work groups to perform specific types of tasks; and assign work.
Coordinates OPPD personnel, consultants and contractors to complete work.
Develops, tracks, reviews and reports meaningful performance and productivity measures for T&D and T&D-related activities.
Assists in developing, recommending and implementing appropriate guidelines and standards for safe, effective, and efficient scheduling practices.
Monitors project progress vs. schedule on a periodic basis. Reports any significant changes to Management for comment and or additional approvals.
Assists Field Supervisors and T&D functional-area managers in identifying and managing effective and efficient work practices.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or other Technical Discipline, or equivalent experience.
Three to five years experience working in an engineering, construction or technical environment.
Self-starter and demonstrated independence.
Conflict resolution skills.
Desired:
Knowledge of transmission and distribution systems.
Working knowledge of T&D design and technical specifications.
Knowledge of Corporate policies and practices and bargaining unit work rules.
Experience in performance management and project scheduling.
Knowledge of work management systems such as Asset Suite, OMS, and Primavera P6.
