Field Network Technician

We are currently hiring Field Network Engineers with experience in a commercial environment for a service position. Candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP as we have an immediate need for skilled technicians.

Technician Duties:

· Pulling and routing CAT 5 or CAT 6 cable in a retail store environment

· Terminating phone jacks and dressing and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels)

· Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)

· Correcting Break/Fix issues

· Installing and configuring access points, routers, switches and firewalls

· Performing network cutovers

· Must be able to travel within 350 miles of the city center

Qualifications:

· Minimum of one year experience installing low voltage cable

· Experience in networking, data equipment, PCs, cabling, fiber optics, or security devices

· Ability to be on-call on a rotating schedule

Required Tools:

· Multimeter

· Toner

· Butt set

· Cordless Drill

· Fish tape

· Crimpers

· Strippers

· Punch down tool

· Glow rods

· Sawzall

· Label maker

· Laptop (windows 10 minimum generation that will function. not chrome book or tablet)

Compensation:

· Competitive starting pay, ranging from $22-25 per hr depending on experience

· Per diem when traveling
