Blair Freeman, an Omaha based construction company is currently hiring for a Construction Superintendent who will provide on-site coordination for all phases of Construction projects. The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed and adherence to budget of the project
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities of Superintendent:
Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
Communicates key project information to owners, design team, governing authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and other departments
Perform any necessary work to move project forward including but not limited to carpentry, minor plumbing/electrical, drywall touch up, painting, etc.
Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
Identify and recruit talent.
Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
Identify and resolve conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team as needed.
Maintain daily log (written) of activities on project management software.
Perform job duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.
Leads various meetings including daily team and weekly project site meetings
Manages timecard approval process to ensure reporting of accurate hours.
Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
Monitor all projects daily.
Attends, manages and participates in appropriate progress and/or project OAC meetings
Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regard to quality of work or scheduling.
Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
Perform and Identify job progress and completion punch list.
Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts.
Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job-site.
Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.
Coordinate Preconstruction meetings with Subcontractors
Opening the jobsite at beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day.
Establish staffing for assigned project.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.
Proficiency in MS Office
Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
Physically lift up to 100 lbs.
Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures.
Monitoring jobsite general health and safety.

Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
Experience
4 years construction experience
2 years field supervision experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Depending on Experience
