Looking for a Workshop Facilitator in Omaha!\ \ \ \ Candidates must be local to Omaha as you are required to be onsite for this role!\ \ \ \ Please email your resume to if you are interested!\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ Position Description:\ \ \ \ A group facilitator interacts with groups that need coaching to work productively as a team to reach an end goal. In this position, your primary responsibility is running a variety of Design Thinking workshops while fostering an environment of engagement, openness, and creativity. The individual group members participating in the workshops may have differences in perspectives and backgrounds that have shaped viewpoints and stifled progress. The facilitator will serve as the process manager for getting past these obstacles, so the group can communicate effectively. This role includes meeting with workshop sponsors to understand their goals, preparing for and delivering the workshop (either in-person or remotely), and then working with the teams to clearly document and implement results back into their daily jobs. Workshops range from high-level strategy sessions with executives to designing new services and processes with the business and developers. Candidates are expected to be familiar with many Design Thinking frameworks and how to match the right method to the problem being solved. This Facilitator is expected to identify workshop challenges and proactively drive the teams to resolution.\ \ \ \ Responsibilities:\ \ \ \ \ \ \ Apply an iterative, Design Thinking-based lens to support workshop participants as they solve for complex problems across strategic planning, process improvement, technology adoption and evolution, and service delivery topics\ \ \ Design and deliver customized, engaging, results-oriented interactive workshops to improve organizational and team performance\ \ \ Facilitate Design Thinking workshops using those principles and tools to ensure quality problem-solving sessions for a range of audiences, including senior leaders, business users, and technologists\ \ \ Gain agreement and drive the use of common language (non-technical) to ensure all participants understand the discussions in the workshops\ \ \ Collaborate with stakeholders to co-design and plan session agendas and exercises that help participants achieve their objectives with Design Thinking workshops\ \ \ Energetically lead workshops, ensuring participants remain engaged and the predetermined workshop goals are achieved\ \ \ Post-workshop, prepare and socialize reports/artifacts with key stakeholders and participants, including a workshop evaluation\ \ \ Remain neutral and be comfortable working with group dynamics while managing the workshops\ \ \ \ \ \ Qualifications/Requirements\ \ \ \ \ \ \ A minimum of 6 years of Project Management, Program Management or Program Facilitation experience\ \ \ Talented facilitator who skillfully leads strategy and planning discussions\ \ \ Self-driven, detail-oriented leader who actively works to remove barriers to achieve results\ \ \ Demonstrated experience in advocating technology solutions and driving executive alignment\ \ \ Experience with leading projects in highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary development teams\ \ \ Track record of inspiring others and making a positive change in solution design, technical delivery, and process improvement\ \ \ Able to demonstrate unwavering positivity and optimism\ \ \ Execution-oriented, and able to complete tasks independently\ \ \ Excellent leadership, team management, relationship building, and interpersonal skills\ \ \ Comfortable working well with all levels of the organization including senior executives and cross-functional teams\ \ \ Proven ability to influence seniors and peers without direct authority; experience leading cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.\ \ \ Demonstrated customer focus and engagement\ \ \ Product ownership mindset with a history of successful product planning and delivery\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ EEO Employer\ \ \ \ Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
