Our water resources team serves the top clients in the Omaha metropolitan area. Our team supports clients like the City of Omaha, City of Bellevue, Natural Resources Districts, Nebraska Department of Transportation, and more, in addition to supporting our internal transportation and conveyance practices.As a valued Jacobs employee, you will work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver successful projects. You'll have the opportunity to work on hydrologic and 1D/2D hydraulic modeling, stormwater conveyance design, floodplain modeling and mapping, river and ecosystem restoration, dams and reservoirs, and many other water-related projects. Our projects include all phases, including planning studies and master plans, modeling, alternatives evaluations, preliminary and final design, decision modeling and optimization, cost analysis, permitting, land acquisition, services during construction, and more.Every member of our team has the opportunity to support business development efforts and help in the pursuit of new projects. While remote working will likely be more commonplace following the pandemic, our Nebraska Water Resources team is looking for someone who is local to the greater Omaha metropolitan area. Our team has returned to in-person meetings with clients following the pandemic, as well as providing observation for projects under construction. 5+ years of experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering from an ABET accredited University. Experience in or interest in Water Resources related projects. Understanding of Water Resources engineering and planning. Self-motivated, self-teaching, initiator. Desire to live locally in the Omaha metropolitan area. This position does not provide relocation.Ideally, You’ll Also Have: Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure. Experience with various business and design related software programs, which may include: Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD (Civil 3D) or MicroStation. Experience with water-related software programs, which may include: HEC-RAS (1D or 2D), HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM, SRH-2D, CUHP, FlowMaster, CulvertMaster, HY-8, or others.
