The Salesforce Developer/Architect works closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, design, develop and deploy new business processes to improve our core business functions, which primarily reside in Salesforce. The Salesforce Developer/Architect is responsible for designing and evolving the Salesforce architecture and integration with associated systems. The candidate will provide leadership and governance ensuring solutions are built with high quality, business/process efficiency, compliance and scalability. The candidate will play a primary role in establishing the future Salesforce roadmap and delivering outstanding value to business stakeholders.

ResponsibilitiesArchitecture Continually research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed, Conduct research into clients' use of Salesforce, producing a report of findings with recommended steps. Provide input into developing a roadmap for solutions, Establish and govern defined coding/configuration best practices/standard, Actively evaluate and monitor the environment for opportunities to improve performance, ensure scalability, improve system health, and optimize processes, Stay abreast of new Salesforce features and releases, preparing POCs on relevant features. Where features would be relevant, make recommendations and trade-off analysis for adopting new features. Prepare system architecture and design documentation and manage documentation repositories, Work closely with team members and business partners to understand the business. Become a subject matter expert across the business areas and technology solutions. Establish formal SDLC methodologies and best practices. Provide leadership, guidance and oversight to team members and 3rd parties to comply with standards, Establish and govern development and release management processes, implementing technologies for code/documentation repositories, automated testing and deployment. Lead configuration and code reviews and ensure deployments are documented, tested, and meet 85% test coverage Conduct regular evaluations of the security and health of the environment, testing backup/recovery, adherence to policies and procedures, and compliance with Salesforce required updates. Prepare system architecture and design documentation and business process maps where needed. Actively monitor and create Jira tasks to track opportunities to improve the user experience and health of the existing environments.Development Build Salesforce solutions on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Pardot and others as required Develop end to end Salesforce solutions using Configuration and Customization - APEX Class, Triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components etc. Understand Salesforce security and apply the Organization-Wide Default, sharing patterns, profiles or permissions to applications Automate business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Formulas, Flows, Assignment Rules and email Alerts Build integrations between Salesforce and external applications using REST, SOAP APIs, OAuth/SAML. Write unit/integration test cases to achieve 85% test coverage Ability to effectively debug and resolve issues and/or defects which may be reported as a result of faults in the production system Participate in daily scrum meetings, analyze assign user stories, identify/resolve gaps in functional user stories/business requirements, provide user-story estimations Assist in writing technical approach and design documentation as required Collaborate with team members to apply abstractions and service-orientation to foster scalability Work closely with other developers in the team including business analyst, QA analyst and project managersEssential:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor's / Postgraduate degree or professional qualification in Computer Science, Technology, or a similar field of study, Experience in software development, engineering, or computer science Experience with GitHub, Atlassian, SalesforceDX, or similar software Experience developing Apex, Lightning Web Components, and API integrations Excellent relationship-building skills, Experience in a Salesforce development team in a lead role Strong analytical skills, with the ability to observe trends. Able to actively make suggestions based on the results, Available and responsive to question, clarifications and instructions Ability to tailor communication to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels A self-starter, experienced in leading projects or delivery work streams Outstanding written communication skills Ability to demonstrate concepts visually and in writing in a way that enables stakeholders to decide with confidence A strategic approach to solution design, with proven ability to develop and execute tactical plans to support the strategy Excellent ability to coach, motivate and direct work tasks to a multi-discplinary team of Salesforce professionals Outstanding ability to collaborate and provide leadership with team members and business stakeholders.Desirable: Salesforce Designer certifications, Salesforce Architecture certifications, Active in the Salesforce community.
