Job T itle : Harvest Floor SupervisorLocation : OmahaReporting To : Harvest Floor General ForemanEssential Job Functions :
Monitor slaughter area by evaluating product and administering corrective procedures
Maintain acceptable yield levels on all products on all carcasses
Perform daily safety walks correcting any non-compliance issues and audits product and employee safety throughout shift
Ensure all safety regulations, food safety policies and collective bargaining agreement are understood and enforced, working closely with Quality Assurance
Record employee daily attendance and verify time cards to ensure correct pay for hours worked
Rectify attendance issues by coordinating personnel to fill vacant or absent positions and follow any disciplinary procedures with hourly employees
Attend supervisor meetings each morning
Contribute to the ongoing development of JBS Omaha’s policy and procedures
All other duties as assigned by General Foreman or Superintendent
Demonstrate the use of JBS Values
Experience Required:
Minimum 1-2 years’ production experience
Past leadership experience preferred but not required
High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred but not required
Skills/Abilities Required
Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship and work collaboratively
Proven written and verbal communication skills, problem solving, and leadership qualities
Must be able to work in conditions of extreme heat
Must be able to work flexible hours and some Saturday work
General computer skills
Knowledge of meat processing and subsequent job specifications
Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
