Job Title: Financial AnalystJob DescriptionThe Product Cost Financial Analyst acts as a professional business partner as a representative of the North American Finance Team. The role facilitates financial information and accounting data between required stakeholders and central accounting. The role will be responsible for the timely and proper budgeting, tracking, and reporting of financial activities, including accounting/controlling tasks related to cost accounting, inventory controls, R&D controlling, project management, and fixed assets. The position is responsible to also prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management review on assigned responsibilities. The role is responsible for performing cost accounting tasks related to inventory reconciliation and controlling activities, month-end close activities, and other duties as required within the manufacturing environment.Hard Skills

Evaluates cost data to identify manufacturing process variances and delivers detailed explanations of the same.

Performs target cost calculations and analysis of potential standard cost deviations.

Performs month-end close activities for Production Company, including month-end analysis and reporting of manufacturing and purchase price variances.

Prepares, schedules, and documents information to aid in the facilitation of the decision-making process within the budgeting and forecasting cycles.

Manages, monitors, and performs initial review for all capital expenditures, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines.

Prepares payback calculations on applicable investments and/or projects, such as evaluating new product lines in the plant for NA.

Leads and manages various projects, local content processes, and travel management reporting and data collection.

Performs R&D controlling activities, such as gathering inputs and establishing annual cost rates, and performing monthly reporting of actual project costs vs. plan.

Establishes new benchmarks for cycle counting, inventory accuracy, and inventory turns.

Prepares liquidity forecasts and reconciles deviations from plan and prior forecasts.

Gathers, reviews, and validates required data for annual property tax and insurance.

Leads expense report project enhancements and monitors costs of external service.

Assists in the budgeting and forecasting activities for capital investments, standard product costs, inventory obsolescence, manufacturing processing variances, and purchase price variances.

Establishes accounting standards and analyzes/bridges product cost changes year over year.
