As one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the world we provide a full range of services including: maternity cancer and surgery care as well as diagnostics and emergency services.This position is responsible for strategic and operational planning of Rehabilitation/Wellness Services. The Director maintains responsibility for all operational facets of Rehabilitation Services. The incumbent works in collaboration with system leadership, physicians, patients, community organizations, payers and other healthcare organizations to achieve and exceed the targeted growth, quality and financial metrics as well as patient, staff and physician satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesDirector Rehabilitation ServicesLocation: Lakeside HospitalFUNCTIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for strategic planning, organizing and implementing plans that drive the overall success of the Rehabilitation Rehab Services across CHI Health including all hospital based services, outpatient clinics, wound care, diabetes education, sports medicine and wellness services.

Develops, monitors and manages a full range of financial, service and quality indicators and reports metrics to leadership on an ongoing basis.

Develops, recommends and manages all capital and operational budgets in support of system strategy plans.

Work collaborative with Physician Enterprise to ensure proper medical staff coverage for the inpatient rehab unit and outpatient clinic services. Works to engage physicians and ensure needs are met to operate effectively and efficiently.

Responsible for assuring appropriate management practices, maintenance of appropriate staffing levels, competency assessment, staff orientation, ongoing staff orientation and engagement in all areas of responsibility.

Actively contributes to the Service line by attending monthly meetings, collaborates with team and other providers to determine best post-acute practices across the market.

Works in a collaborative manner to create an academic medical system that supports integration with the academic programs including PT, OT and Nursing. Actively leads/participates in meetings that promote advancement of the student and faculty experience, development of residency programs, advances research opportunities and integrates new models of care delivery as appropriate.

Allocates and directs staffing needs to meet patient, unit/department and organizational needs and collaborates with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met.

Manages performance including: setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognizing performance, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our Core Values using corrective action.

RE REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:

Assures appropriate level of understanding, awareness and compliance with all applicable JCAHO, CARF, federal, state and agency laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards.

Participates in all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department.

Demonstrates work practices consistent with CHI Health and department-specific safety, security and infection control policies.

Must have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.

QualificationsRequired: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters/Doctorate preferred in health administration, business administration/clinical administration. Prefer a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in leadership role in the field of hospital and/or rehabilitation hospital leadership. This may include a background in business, accounting, physical, occupational, speech therapies or any related experience.Must be licensed in one of following areas; PT, OT, or SpeechRequired: Basic Life SupportPay Range$51.41 - $74.55 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
