Flatwater Builders is a residential construction & design firm serving Lincoln, NE and the surrounding community.
We are seeking carpenters to assist with all phases of residential construction and remodeling, to include rough and finish carpentry, windows and doors, tile, siding, touch-ups, demo, general clean-up, organization, and errands. We typically subcontract our roofing, gutters, drywall, paint, concrete, and licensed trade work.
Potential for a highly skilled candidate in a salaried field / office hybrid role as lead / project manager.
Residential construction or related experience is preferred, but not a requirement for gifted candidates with demonstrated success in other fields. A positive attitude, problem-solving ability, spatial awareness, mathematical ability, creative thinking, reliable attendance, and an eye for detail are required. Must have valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and reasonably clean driving record. To benefit our clients, we don't allow smoking or swearing on job sites.
We pride ourselves on high quality work, attention to detail, and creative solutions. We expect our work to be among the best in the city. The vast majority of our jobs are within the city limits, and any out-of-town travel is compensated. Some overtime is typically available, but not mandatory. Job will require kneeling, bending, climbing, and lifting 50-100# regularly. We work year-round, indoors and out.
Benefits include paid vacation after 6 months, Christmas bonuses, and partnership as a 5% shareholder with owner's draws after 5 years. Company truck may be available as part of compensation package. Pay and raises based on performance. Apprentices start at $20+/hr. Top lead carpenters can earn up to $80k.
