Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities of the Software Engineer II include designing, creating, maintaining, and improving software applications by performing coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process based on user requirements. Periodically performs technical analysis and research. Supports quality assurance and client testing as situation demands. Maintains and develops existing applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification. Other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in Lincoln, NE.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: Six (6) months of experience in the job offered or related position. Other requirements: six (6) months of experience working with Kotlin, Java, Ruby, Python, or similar programming languages; six (6) months of experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, or similar data management systems; six (6) months of experience working with client/server architectures and application architectures; and six (6) months of experience working with distributed codebases on cross-functional teams.
