Timpte is looking for a Maintenance Technician at our David City Manufacturing Facility. We’re looking for someone to perform preventative maintenance and electrical repairs on all facility equipment. This includes packaging equipment, VFDs, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, conveyors, gear boxes and more. Responsibilities also include electrical troubleshooting ranging from 12v DC – 480v 3 phase.
Job Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance repairs as well as any other required inspections.
Follow all lockout/tag-out, electrical codes, safety programs, and follow emergency action plan duties.
Keeping shop and equipment clean, safe and organized.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and other defects on production equipment.
Utilize CMMS software to track inventory, PMs and previous equipment issues.
Make recommendations to correct problems with equipment and processes.
Performs additional duties as assigned by management or required by the position.
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma.
Maintenance experience preferred.
Must have knowledge of production equipment, ability to operate forklifts, weld, use hand tools and operate general repair testing equipment.
Must be able to work under general supervision and make quality decisions independently when situation demands it. This includes working with new processes and projects.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to read blueprints, specifications, and repair manuals and keep them orderly.
