Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our IT Consulting team. Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, this role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for account reconciliation, check runs, coding invoices, and data entry, among other duties.Responsibilities: Handle account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Conduct regular check runs to maintain a smooth flow of payments. Code invoices with appropriate accounts and cost centers. Perform data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information entered. Process invoices, verifying details, and resolving discrepancies. Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to facilitate job functions. Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless financial operations. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices in the IT consulting industry. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all financial transactions. Requirements Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role in the IT Consulting industry Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP) Familiarity with check runs and coding invoices Strong data entry skills with attention to detail Experience in invoice processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Knowledge of Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and trustworthiness Good problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment High level of professionalism and confidentiality Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or similar field would be advantageous.
