Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. in Lincoln, Nebraska seeks multiple Actuarial Associate(s).

Responsibilities: The Actuarial Associate is responsible for providing actionable information that enables good business decisions along with designing and managing project initiatives and business processes. Specific duties for the Actuarial Associate include; Prophet model development and testing of various given product types, adhering to Model Risk Management policies and procedures; running and analyzing certain recurring model applications such as Asset Liability Management, Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA) compliance, Cash Flow Testing, Liquidity Testing, and Financial Planning; documenting decisions made, processes put in place, and other work performed in assigned work area; supporting process improvement projects; performing stress testing and scenario analysis to equip management to make strategic decisions; compiling and analyzing data, using statistical formulas and other actuarial methods; preparing and reviewing survey forms and reports for distribution; setting up, testing, validating, and maintaining actuarial models for the specific actuarial purpose; implementing procedures to comply with new regulatory, control, or governance requirements; responding to requests for information from actuaries, accountants, auditors, management, and other associates; collaborating with stakeholders throughout the organization on business initiatives; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related mathematical or science field (or foreign equivalent).

Requirements: Special requirements include: Credit for a minimum of two (2) of the following Society of Actuaries requirements needed to obtain the Associate of the Society of Actuaries designation: all 3 VEE Subjects, Exam P, Exam FM, Exam IFM, Exam LTAM, Exam STAM, Exam SRM, Exam PA, or the FAP Final Assessment (certificate and/or exam passing proof required); Education in or experience with insurance products and concepts, actuarial theory and techniques, and insurance industry regulations; Education in or experience with advanced mathematical and statistical concepts and the ability to accurately perform detailed calculations with a general understanding of how those calculations impact higher-level values in the company's financial statements; and Education in or experience with technical programs such as VBA, SQL, Python, R Studio, Power BI, or other similar programs.
