We boldly go.Position Summary:The Staff Accountant position is onsite and assists in all accounting activities for the Hastings, NE operations, including compliance, daily GL maintenance tasks, cost maintenance, month end closing procedures, and analysis of monthly results. The position requires a working relationship with different functional areas to ensure an in depth understanding of the financial results.Responsibilities:The candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of GAAP accounting as well as data management and financial analysis skills. Ensure the production of timely, accurate and relevant financial reports to plant management in order to facilitate understanding and analysis of the business and business opportunities Help drive the annual planning process Ensure that accounting practices follow all relevant accounting standards, and company values and practices Seek/participate in continuous process improvements Assist in annual physical inventory process and related reconciliation Perform the monthly accounting close process, balance sheet reconciliations and journal entry postings Work product costs and support ad hoc analysis of results, budgets, and forecasts with focus on P&L performance, cash flow, working capital optimization, investments and productivity, and financial ratios Own with compliance function and coordination of Sarbox requirements, including pro-active identification of process gaps Participate in month end closing procedures including, but not limited to, accurate and timely completion and posting of closing entries and month end reports Complete daily GL maintenance tasks timely and accuratelyKey Competencies and Success Factors: Lead changes in process and systems Demonstrated strong technical and analytical skills Strong collaboration skills across multiple disciplines and must be a team player Demonstrated excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills to all levels of the organization Must be detailed-oriented and deadline sensitive Must be proficient in the use of standard software programs High degree of initiative, creativity, and problem solving ability requiredExperience and Skills Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business required. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in financial management or in financial accounting Manufacturing plant experience a plusWhat's in it for you!:

Base Pay Range: $63,300 - $99,000Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages.
