Description We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our clients team in Greenwood, Nebraska. This role involves maintaining financial records, preparing company reports, supporting the Accounting/Finance organization, and assisting with forecasting and analysis of financial results. The workplace is in a dynamic environment where you will collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales teams. Responsibilities Prepare and review financial records to ensure compliance Assist with the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis Carry out the preparation and posting of journal entries Analyze and submit monthly financial data Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities Prepare and analyze financial statements/reports on a monthly, quarterly, and year-end basis Assist with the preparation of documentation to support audits Conduct cost accounting exercises using inventory experience Assist with check runs and other day-to-day tasks as needed Report actual variances compared to forecast and AOP Undertake special projects, including system-related projects, process improvement, and departmental training.Requirements Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries is expected Familiarity with Month End Close procedures Proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP Experience in conducting Annual Inventory is a plus Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required Professional certification such as CPA is preferred Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Must adhere to ethical standards and comply with company policies and regulations.
