You will be exposed to an outstanding variety of cell types and bioreactor operating experiences. Working with a team, you will modify and implement study plans, assemble data, and assess workflows with a focus on teamwork and continuous process improvement.A day in the life:
Cell culture pre-work: collaborate on study plan and DOE generation, formulating medium and feeds, cell banking, passaging, and sample analysis
Bioreactor setup and cleanup: building line sets, autoclave operation, sensor management, loading control profiles, cleaning and coordinating parts and laboratory space
Bioreactor operation and management: operating controllers, troubleshooting behavior, and processing samples
Being part of a team: strong communication with collaborating teams
Crafting meaningful results: log information and actions, help generate reports, provide insight on collected data
Finding a better way: research and drive innovation to continuously improve workflows and capabilities
Education
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent required.
Experience and Abilities
Required
Functional proficiency with mammalian cell culture – 3 months experience
Successfully implement aseptic technique
Comfortable with basic data, statistical analysis, and plot generation; applying tools such as Excel, JMP, or Prism
Ability to communicate – summarize critical observations in a timely manner
Preferred
Familiarity with cell culture instrumentation – cell count, basic metabolites, pH, gassing, and protein titer
Experience with high-throughput and automation
Knowledge of bioreactors or control systems
Proven understanding of design of experiment (DOE)

Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $53,300.00–$79,925.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
