Essential Functions Statement(s)

Research and draft blueprints, prepare design calculations, produce engineering plans, and graphics for new products. Partner with Operations to develop test prototypes. Identify solutions to improve current products and production efficiency. Use design software to develop models and drawings of new products, produce drawings for parts breakdown, produce wiring schematics, produce drawings for customer-specific customizations, produce procedure drawings and partner with vendors to produce parts. Maintain existing engineering records and designs and produce/maintain product manuals. Perform engineering computations and analysis related to machine design, dynamics, strengths of materials, etc. Estimate cost limits and budgets for new designs. Supervise materials ordering. Assist in supervising the manufacturing process of all designs. Coordinate with other production and management staff in all aspects of building, delivering and trouble-shooting all product lines.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's/Masters Degree in Mechanical or Structural engineering is required.

Experience: 6 years or more of experience designing industrial products is required. Prefer a working knowledge of hydraulic systems

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of computer aided designing and engineering software such as SolidWorks and Pro/Engineer.
