Veterinary Practice Manager

We’re looking for:We are seeking a courteous, organized, and hands-on Veterinary Practice Manager to support daily operations and lead our team. This role is a 50/50 split between management responsibilities and functional, hands-on work, making it ideal for someone with prior Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience, preferably in a mixed animal practice.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily administrative and operational functions of the hospitalRecruit, hire, train, schedule, and manage staff performanceMaintain inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing vendors, and monitoring controlled substancesEnsure payroll is accurate and submitted on timeImplement and enforce hospital policies, including OSHA and DEA complianceSupport doctors and staff while promoting a positive, team-focused cultureMaintain accurate patient records and working knowledge of veterinary terminologyAddress client questions, concerns, and complaints with professionalismMarket the hospital within the local veterinary community and attend relevant eventVeterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience strongly preferred; mixed animal practice experience a plusCertified or experienced Veterinary Practice Manager preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of management experience or 3+ years of veterinary experienceStrong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and hospital operationsProven leadership skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectivelyDetail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environmentCompassionate, calm, and team-oriented with strong client service and problem-solving skillsProficient with computers and practice management softwareSelf-motivated with a desire to continue learning and growing professionallyFlexible availability, with willingness to adjust hours based on hospital needs
