A. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITYPerforms tasks required to prepare batter in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to standards and policies, maintaining quality and production schedules.B. NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION.Position requires working knowledge of weights and measures. Ensure proper procedures are followed regarding allergens. All personnel are responsible for reporting immediately all safety, food safety and quality issues to management. This position affects quality and food safety.C. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1. Ensures the production and packaging of premium bakery products meeting Beatrice Bakery Company quality standards, under safe, legal and sanitary conditions, while controlling direct production costs and adhering to the production schedule.2. Must be able to read and understand recipes to be able to gather ingredients and measure correct portions. Measurements must be precise.3. Add ingredients to mixer in a predetermined order with correct timing.4. Operate mixer and trough.5. Responsible for preparation of batter ingredients for the next day’s production.6. Cleaning of all equipment in the mixing room including the mixer, trough, utensils used for mixing ingredients and sweeping and mopping the floor. Proper sanitation of surfaces is required.7. Accomplish other tasks as assigned by Production Team Leader and/or Production Superintendent.8. Restock ingredients used in the mixing room.9. Must be highly organized.10. Fill in on batter line, packaging line or unloading oven as needed.
