Computer / Network Technician - can be based out of Glendive, Miles City or Sidney.JOB OVERVIEW: Boss Office Products is seeking a Computer / Network Technician to provide IT support for customers, local businesses, and external clients. This role involves diagnosing and repairing hardware, managing Windows servers, supporting Microsoft 365 environments, troubleshooting network issues, and working with Windows 10/11, Chrome OS, and basic Linux. Work is performed in-shop, on-site, or remotely, and a company vehicle is provided for on-site visits.
The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and a solid technical background.REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years of IT experience OR a college degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 troubleshooting and support
Experience with Windows Server administration (Active Directory & Group Policy)
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams) and Entra ID (Azure AD).
Hardware troubleshooting and repair skills (PCs, laptops, peripherals, Chromebooks)
Networking experience (routers, switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls)
Experience with Chrome OS and Chromebook management
Basic knowledge of Linux troubleshooting (a plus)
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Certified, or CCNA (a plus)
Experience supporting small business IT environments
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and cloud solutions
