Art Teacher
Job Description
The Art teacher will develop and implement a Christ-centered art curriculum, teach art classes guided from a Biblical world view, evaluating student progress, and maintain a Christian perspective. Designed lessons and activities will engage students by promoting artistic expression, creativity, and technical skills development. Other key responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrating a willingness and ability to assist in the overall school program and other activities.
- Maintain clear, open, and professional communication with parents. This also will require computer skills necessary to utilize on-line programs for posting grades and communicating with parents.
- Collaborate with administration to ensure parents are adequately informed of any student discipline.
- Integrate Biblical principles and perspectives throughout the curriculums guided by a Biblical worldview.
-Integrate Christian principles and values into their teaching, ensuring that the curriculum and classroom environment reflects a commitment to faith and discipleship.

- Be deeply committed to a consistent, daily walk with Jesus Christ.
- Spend time daily on personal devotions and prayer.
- Demonstrate the joy of the Christian life through daily actions and attitudes.
- Adhere to the Matthew 18 principle in addressing issues with students, faculty, parents and administration.
- Motivate students to accept God's gift of salvation and encourage growth in their faith.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate gracefully with parents, students, and other school staff to foster a
unified and successful educational program.
- Exhibit the ability to accept responsibilities, carry out tasks effectively, and make sound professional
decisions.
- Be enthusiastic about actively participating in professional development.
- Acknowledge parents as primarily responsible before God for their childrens education and be ready to support them in that role.
- Maintain a personal appearance that reflects Christian values of cleanliness, modesty, good taste,
and in accordance with school policy.
- Respectfully submit to and demonstrate loyalty to authority and promptly notify the administration of any policy which they are unable to comply with.
Professional Qualifications
- Holds a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current ACSI and/or State Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education (preferred).
- A minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in computer technology required.
- Demonstrate a willingness to pursue higher education and ongoing professional development.
- Exhibit the willingness and ability to coach/sponsor extra-curricular activities as needed
Wage dependant on experience.
