Position: News Production Manager
KTMF NonStop Local ABC/FOX Missoula SWX has an exciting opportunity for a hands–on News Production Manager based in Missoula. Primary duties include Lead Director for the Content Dept., the scheduling and managing of the directors, technical directors, videographers, camera operators and audio board operators. Working with the News Director as part of the Content Department to improve the production quality of our newscasts. Coordination of the NonStop Local live stream. Assist in SWX productions and crew coordination from department team members. Prior TV production/promotions experience preferred.
Job Description: Scheduling, managing, and training the directors, technical directors, videographers, camera operators and audio board operators. Lead Director for the news dept. Work closely with the News Director as part of the Content Department to continually improve the production quality of our newscasts. NonStop Local Production Coordination for the live stream. Video editing for special projects within the station and news department. Oversee the upkeep and work areas of the studio and production control. Assist in SWX productions and crew coordination from department team members. Coordinate Technical Directors / Videographers coverage assignments with the News Director.
Qualifications: Two years television production news, commercial production, or related experience. Strong computer background and familiarity with broadcast cameras and the Adobe Creative Suite. The ideal candidate must be organized and able to work as a team player as well as independently, under deadline. Applicant must possess valid driver’s license and have a good driving record
Physical Requirements or Restrictions: Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds camera and lighting equipment .
