Summary: The Program Coordinator is responsible for developing, leading, and overseeing Families First Children's Museum's (FFCM) new community-based exhibit program. The Coordinator is responsible for unique, hands-on activities and programming that serve children and families in Western Montana.

This 15-20 hr/week part-time position will work regular weekday hours and potentially evening and weekend hours, as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Wage: $15.00 /hour

Job Description:

FFCM is creating a new community-based series, for which the Program Coordinator will provide leadership including but not limited to the following:

Developing and implementing a series of activities that support Families First Children's Museum's mission of parent education and learning through play.

Establishing partnerships with local organizations and businesses to host activities/events.

Creating thematic program content in collaboration with FFCM staff and community partners.

Developing associated outreach materials and marketing plan.

Facilitating program activities and events at community partner sites.

Recruiting and managing volunteers as needed for program delivery.

Working closely with other staff to create accurate program budget and tracking process.

Maintaining participant tracking and evaluation records.

Assisting staff in planning and implementing FFCM fundraising and outreach events for the organization at large, as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

Preferred bachelor's degree in early childhood education, social work, or a related human services field.

Experience working with children ages 0-8 in child care, classroom, or informal education settings.

Experience working with at-risk and special needs individuals.

Experience providing interactive programming and/or events for children.

Ability to create effective communication pieces for program outreach.

Excellent organizational skills.

Reliable transportation required.
