Beal Law Firm, PLLC, is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and motivated legal assistant to join our small legal office in the beautiful Riverfront neighborhood of Missoula, Montana. Under the supervision of lawyers and paralegal management, you will provide our legal staff with a broad spectrum of support, including case management, client communications, file maintenance, information management, scheduling, drafting documents and other administrative duties. This role has the potential for significant growth and development, as we strive to invest in our employees for the long term.
Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
● Providing administrative support to attorneys and paralegal
● Transcribing, drafting, proofreading, filing, and maintaining basic legal documents and correspondence
● Communicating with clients, witnesses, experts, and attorneys
● Conducting factual research for cases
● Maintaining contact lists and case files
● Monitoring deadlines and maintaining calendars
● Assisting with other general office duties as assigned
Legal Assistant Requirements:
● Highschool degree or equivalent
● Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Proficiency in Excel, WordPerfect and/or Word, Outlook, and Adobe
● Typing speed of at least 55 wpm
● Prior experience working in an law office environment
● Desire to learn and grow
