Waste Less Works is hiring for Deconstruction Crew Members and Leaders.
Deconstruction is an environmentally friendly alternative to Demolition. We utilize hand tools to disassemble buildings from the inside out and top down. Basically this is reverse construction and is a VERY labor intensive position using hand tools to dismantle and salvage useable building materials.
Applicant must be trustworthy, dependable and willing to learn and advance.
We will provide training for the job specific skills and the opportunity to learn is constant. Deconstruction is a great way to learn how buildings are put together. Preference given to applicants with construction experience.
Job duties include variety depending on the project but here are some of the most important:
Showing up on time ready to work with appropriate clothing, and food to keep motivated throughout the day.
Roof tear off, carefully salvaging boards, smashing drywall, prying, de nailing, cutting , carrying, stacking, keeping organized and recognizing different materials, measuring, sweeping, shoveling, hammering, unscrewing, using a variety of hand tools. Did I say staying organized? Organization keeps a job safe and moving steadily to completion.
Construction experience is preferred but not necessary.
The opening is for a full time position but some flexibility in schedule is possible on a case by case basis. Waste Less Works is a family owned business. Some employees have been with the company since the inception 8 years ago. We work hard and like to get projects completed safely and on time.
