The employer is hiring for a full-time, permanent position. Will work Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm. The annual wage is $65,175. Will perform, supervise, and administer the overall operation of the Engineering and Operations Department. This position will perform administrative, supervisory, and operation duties requiring attention to accuracy, detail, and timelines. This position is on call 24 hours a day for response to emergencies. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Will need to follow verbal and written instructions, plan for direct emergency operation, keep records, prepare records, monitor grants, provide general administrative duties, and good judgements and decisions.
Will procure equipment and supplies in accordance with the city's purchasing policies. Will operate and maintain city parks, playgrounds, and swimming pools. Will maintain streets alleys and roadways. Will plan, supervise, and participate in the design and preparation of specifications for public works improvement. Must have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Public Administration with a minimum of five years of experience in the management/supervision of municipal public works or an equivalent combination of training and experience Must have a valid Montana Driver's License, and be eligible for coverage by the City's insurance carriers.
