Overview: Aluma Glass is seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager - Lead Glazier Custom Glass Installer to oversee and execute custom glass installation projects with precision and leadership. This role demands a hands-on professional who can manage projects from start to finish, lead by example, and ensure high-quality installations while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate will take initiative, solve problems independently, and deliver exceptional results for our clients.
Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of custom glass installation projects, including planning, coordination, and execution.
Perform expert-level glazing tasks, such as measuring, cutting, and installing glass for residential and commercial projects.
Lead and mentor a team of glaziers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met.
Conduct site assessments to determine project requirements and provide accurate cost estimates.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring they are in optimal condition for use.
Troubleshoot on-site challenges and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
Document project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a glazier, with at least 2 years in a project management or lead role.
Certification such as FENSA, AGMT, or equivalent is preferred.
Strong knowledge of glass installation techniques, tools, and safety standards.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and drive project success.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative and find information independently.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and stakeholders.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights.
Compensation:
$25-$35 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).
