Retail Golf Buyer and Retail Golf Sales, Full Time, Kalispell
The Retail Golf Buyer and Golf Salesperson has a dual role spending approximately 70 percent of the time in the retail sales setting assisting customers and 30 percent involved in the selection and procurement of related golf hardgoods and apparel merchandise for the Crown Enterprises, Inc. family of stores to support overall company sales, volume, gross margin, and sell-thru objectives. Extensive golf knowledge and the ability to provide excellent customer service is required.
Key Buyer Accountabilities:
Develops strategic merchandise objectives for each season and for individual classifications
Analyze current sales trends by classification and attributes
Responsible for planning assortment and product life cycle by item within financial framework
Plans inventory based on financial objectives and guidelines
Establish retail pricing in conjunction with vendor guidelines to meet financial goals
Oversees merchandise assortments to achieve maximum gross profit dollars and customer satisfaction
Communicate all strategic merchandise goals to the company president
Development and execution of clear advertising concepts
Maintains awareness of current and upcoming product trends and selects overall product assortment to reflect customer base focused assortments
Skills Summary:
Bachelor's degree in retail merchandising, retail management or business (or comparable work experience)
Minimum 2 years of buying office or related direct experience
2 years of inventory management and negotiating with vendors preferred
High proficiency in Excel and Word
Strong business analytical skills
Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities and quickly learning new procedures
Willingness to follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties
Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong working knowledge of merchandising and operating systems
Aptitude to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team
Adherence to all company policies and loss prevention control and compliance procedures
Physical Requirements:
Most buyer work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items ( up to 25 pounds) and to walk short distances.
Communication in person, over phone and through digital means is required.
Schedule is Full-time (4-5 days, 40 hrs/week). We offer a 4 day 40 hour option or more traditional 5 day work week depending on employee preference.
