This is a full time position requiring 30 - 40 hours weekly with flexibility in your schedule.

Genesis Kitchen has been serving the Flathead valley with outstanding EVOO and aged balsamic vinegar since 2012. Our offerings also include the finest selection of craft chocolates, conservas, bitters, and imported confections in the greater Flathead area. We supply several restaurants with their oil and vinegars, infuse our own huckleberry balsamic, and have developed several products that are suitable for wholesale distribution.

This is a unique position that requires multiple skill sets and an eagerness to learn a great deal in order to be proficient. A high value is placed on being extremely knowledgable about our carefully curated products and being able to both assist customers in finding ideal choices and further curating the stores selections as required. Ample training will be provided on product education, sourcing, and standards. Collaboration between the owner, assistant manager, and existing (excellent!) staff is a key part of this position and essential to the success of all parties.

PREREQUISITES:

Former retail management experience. Non-retail management experience may be considered depending on other qualifications.

Understanding and ability to demonstrate exemplary customer service

Being organized, punctual, and a clear communicator

Computer Skills - not extensive but essential; spreadsheets, email. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.

Some understanding of gourmet and healthy foods. A willingness to taste existing and potential products is very helpful.

Understanding basic accounting for invoicing and wholesale accounts

Marketing - social media, promotions, coordinating events

Graphic design

Culinary Skills

Display & Fixture design/fabrication

Ability & Willingness to attend summer farmer's markets and winter holiday events

Primary duties include: Oversight of all store operations, customer assistance, ordering & receiving products, wholesale A/R & liaison, website & POS oversight, assisting in the coordination of marketing strategies and seasonal displays.

Pay is competitive and starts commensurate with experience. A substantial pay increase will be granted by the end of a three month trial period.
