ABC Art Collective is a local gallery and artisan studio representing fine artists and offering custom decorative finishes. We're hiring a Gallery & Marketing Assistant to help manage day-to-day operations and support our digital presence.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests, open/close gallery, and maintain a clean, polished space
- Assist with hanging artwork and occasional touch-up painting
- Update the website (via Squarespace or similar platform)
- Create and schedule social media content (Instagram, Facebook)
- Photograph artwork and installations for marketing use
- Manage email list and send newsletters (Mailchimp or Substack)
- Operate POS system and assist with in-gallery sales
- Track inventory, label artwork, and maintain artist files
- Support occasional gallery openings and events
Requirements:
- Experience in high-end retail, art galleries, or marketing is required
- Strong written and visual communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Canva, Squarespace, Mailchimp, or similar tools
- Tech-savvy with a creative eye and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and interacting with the public
- Interest in art, design, or interiors a plus
