ACUTECH METALWORKS is a full-service metal fabrication facility covering a very broad range of custom fabricated products and materials.
We are recruiting for an experienced individual to join our team as a driver/general shop laborer. This position will play a vital role in our operations by ensuring timely delivery and pickup of materials and products, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and assisting with various shop tasks.
This is a full-time position that requires a proactive, hardworking, and detail-oriented individual. You must be able to work alongside a variety of personalities and get along well with other employees.
Driving Duties:
o Safely transport materials, parts, and finished products to and from job sites and vendors.
o Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company standards.
o Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.
Shop Helper Duties:
o Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment.
o Maintain a clean and organized shop, including sweeping, dusting, and waste disposal.
o Assist fabricators and welders with various tasks as needed, such as holding materials, measuring, and cutting.
o Operate forklifts and other shop equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary).
o Perform basic maintenance on shop tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical labor for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Forklift certification is a plus but not required (training will be provided).
Job Type: Full-time: M-F
Pay: Starting at $20/hr
