We’re looking for a passionate educator to join our Upper Elementary teaching team (grades 4th - 6th! This position is ideal for someone who loves working with children and is excited to support their academic, social, and personal growth—whether you're already Montessori-trained or eager to learn more about this transformative educational approach.
The right candidate will:
Enjoy working with children ages 9–12 and appreciate the unique qualities of the upper elementary years
Have experience working with students one-on-one and in small or large groups
Be collaborative, reliable, and eager to support a classroom led by an experienced Montessori guide
Have prior classroom or tutoring experience (Montessori experience or training is a plus, but not required)
Be open to professional growth, including the possibility of Montessori teacher training
In this role, you'll:
Work closely with the lead Montessori teacher to provide individual and small group support
Help monitor and guide students during independent work periods
Assist with tasks such as recording homework, grading quizzes, and maintaining classroom routines
Support a rich learning environment that extends beyond the classroom—our students also engage in outdoor adventures like backpacking and rock climbing

Approximately 37 hours per week during the school year
