The Montana City Store is a convenience store/gas station that serves as a community hub in Montana City. We pride ourselves on customer service, being a member of our community, and serving the needs of both our local residents and those who stop along the road.
The assistant manager assists our general manager in overseeing all aspects of the business. Duties include coordinating daily customer service operations including sales, vendor orders and payments, inventory, and scheduling and training staff. The assistant manager helps set the tone for customer service; trains and coaches staff to be successful members of our team, and sets an example for staff.
The assistant manager will have proven experience as a retail assistant manager or supervisor, preferably with experience in a convenience store or grocery store. Familiarity with point of sales systems and proficiency with Microsoft office products is needed. Candidates should have experience with recruiting, scheduling, training, and evaluating staff. The assistant manager needs good interpersonal and communications skill; leadership and organizational abilities; and flexibility in work schedule to meet the needs of the business.
Associates degree in business management, accounting, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
