Hospitality Associate
Job Description:
As a Hospitality Associate, you’ll play a multifaceted role, ensuring a seamless experience for guests in a small motel. Your responsibilities will span across bartending, serving, and housekeeping duties. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
1. Bartending:
o Mixology: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests at the motel bar.
o Customer Interaction: Engage with patrons, take drink orders, and recommend specialty cocktails.
o Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and restocking supplies.
o Compliance: Adhere to local liquor laws and regulations.
2. Restaurant Serving:
o Guest Service: Welcome guests, seat them, and provide menus. Take food orders and ensure timely delivery.
o Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the menu items, daily specials, and dietary restrictions.
o Table Setup: Set tables, arrange cutlery, and ensure a pleasant dining atmosphere.
o Billing: Present bills, process payments, and handle any guest inquiries.
3. Small Motel Housekeeping:
o Room Cleaning: Clean and prepare guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, and vacuuming.
o Restocking: Refill toiletries, towels, and other amenities.
o Common Areas: Maintain cleanliness in common areas, such as the lobby, hallways, and breakfast nook.
o Guest Requests: Address special requests promptly (e.g., extra pillows, room service).
4. General Responsibilities:
o Customer Satisfaction: Ensure guests feel welcome, comfortable, and attended to throughout their stay.
o Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive guest experience.
o Adaptability: Be flexible and willing to assist in various tasks as needed.
o Safety and Hygiene: Follow safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to health guidelines.
Requirements and Skills:
High School Diploma or Equivalent: Basic education is required.
Hospitality Experience: Previous experience in bartending, serving, or housekeeping is beneficial.
Communication Skills: Clear communication with guests and colleagues.
Attention to Detail: Ensure rooms and common areas are spotless.
Physical Stamina: Housekeeping tasks involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
