Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and proper maintenance of our company's linens, towels, and other laundry items. You will be responsible for operating laundry equipment, sorting and organizing laundry items, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
-Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironing machines, and folding stations.
-Sort and separate laundry items based on fabric types, colors, and laundry instructions.
-Pre-treat stains, wash, dry, and fold laundry items in accordance with company standards.
-Inspect laundered items for quality, removing any damaged or stained items.
-Monitor and maintain inventory of laundry supplies and detergents.
-Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
-Assist with loading and unloading laundry machines as needed.
-Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a hygienic work environment.
-Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
-Provide exceptional customer service to meet the needs of guests or internal departments.
Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
-Knowledge of laundry equipment operations and laundry techniques.
-Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Strong communication and customer service skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads.
-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
